Jonathan White, Chairman
Jonathan White retired as a Partner of Ogier on 1st August 2009 but remains as a Consultant. Ogier is one of the largest providers of offshore legal and fiduciary services.
Originally an English Solicitor, Jonathan qualified as a Jersey Advocate in 1987 and built up a strong commercial litigation practice with heavy involvement in trust related work. He specialises in non-contentious trust work with a focus on advising substantial family groups. He has extensive experience of working with family businesses and has, in the past, acted as both a director to substantial private businesses as well as an adviser to others.
After acting as Managing Partner of Ogier for a number of years he was appointed Chairman in 2001, a position he held until 2009. During his tenure, Ogier grew from a Jersey business into an international business with presences in 9 jurisdictions and total staff of 850 people.
Jonathan is Chairman of both Jersey Finance Limited and the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust which is one of the leading animal conservation organisations in the world. He is a Director of various other entities.
