Ada Muirhead, Technical Manager
Ada Muirhead joined Jersey Finance as Technical Manager in June 2007. She was born and educated in Scotland where she obtained a First Class LL.B. Honours degree in Law and qualified as a Solicitor with Dundas & Wilson C.S. in 2003. She worked at Fidal Société d’Avocats in France, where she specialised in Tax Law and at the Directorate General for Competition at the European Commission in Brussels, before returning to Scotland to work in the Commercial Division of Shepherd and Wedderburn. She has also lectured in Law at the London School of Economics on three Masters Courses.
She is a Scottish Notary Public, Committee Member of the Scottish Lawyers European Group, co-founder of ADEK UK (the first regional group of ADEK International), Member of the European Young Bar Association and a Legal and Compliance Services Member of the European Experts Network. In 2006, she was appointed International Director on the Board of the Junior Chamber International (Worldwide Federation of Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs) Edinburgh and was awarded Prime Graduate at the JCI University in Tallinn, Estonia.
Ada’s role at Jersey Finance is to assist the Technical Director with the development of JFL’s technical services, both in terms of performing strategic research and development and supporting the existing consultation process representing the Industry in discussions with Government and the Commission on the development of legislation and regulation to meet the changing and developing needs of Jersey’s Financial Services Industry.
