Senior Appointment strengthens Orchid offering

Allan Watts has joined Orchid Communications as a co-Director of the business, to spearhead the launch of a new training and video services division of the company. 

Mr Watts, a journalist for more than 20 years, left his role as Head of News & Content at ITV Channel Television in December. He joins the Orchid business as co-Director, alongside his wife Sam Watts who founded the business six years ago.

Mr Watts has considerable experience as a trainer, broadcaster and public speaker, having delivered courses and presentations across the Channel Islands and UK. He will lead the delivery of exciting new services, many of which are unique to the Channel Island market.

“People were surprised when I announced my intention to move,” says Mr Watts. “But there has never been a more exciting time to be involved in such a fast growing industry; with traditional media channels being challenged by the boom in social media, the use of video and the ability to get your message to audiences across many platforms like never before. I’m relishing being part of the Orchid business.”
