Why do the Information Technology for Business Degree?
The IT industry is one of the world’s largest, most dynamic and ever growing business sectors. In Jersey it provides the underlying infrastructure to support the various business sectors that operate in the island. The sector provides probably some of the most rewarding challenges and opportunities for an individual throughout their career.
The objective of the programme is to develop IT professionals who are able to manage effective and secure IT systems and services that create the capability for building significant competitive advantage for business.
The programme will focus on: establishing a critical understanding of IT business strategies; developing industry recognised knowledge and skills to implement new business systems and process; and producing a culture of innovation and creativity that exploits technology for use within business organisations.
The programme will encourage learning and development in a way that is practical and applied, using the experiences and expertise of local and regional employers. This approach offers you not only a theoretical understanding of the subject, but also a chance to apply and test your knowledge and skills in a working environment.
