Jersey’s wealth management solutions and the ‘BRIC’ economies debated at London conference
The Honourable Artillery Company
Armoury House, City Road
London, EC1Y 2BQ
The past decade began with the internet revolution and ended with the "credit crunch", leaving most of the world struggling with the most painful recession since the post-war period. Despite this dramatic change in global fortunes, some economies have been able to continue to grow and thrive.
This conference focused on the implications for the wealth management sector of the rise of the emerging ‘BRICs’ (Brazil, Russia, India and China) economies and the sharp contrast with the increasingly troubled Eurozone economies. Richard Cookson, Citi Private Bank's Global Chief Investment Officer, examined how the financial services industry can benefit from the shift in world economic power, whilst also highlighting the downfalls. Advocate Alan Binnington, Director, RBC Wealth Management in Jersey discussed the structuring issues facing clients in these jurisdictions and the solutions the Jersey regime has to offer.
