Greater China Visit

Shanghai, Singapore and Hong Kong

Thursday 15^th October - Friday 23^rd October

We are delighted to announce our second visit to Greater China this year led by Robert Kirkby and Zhaoan Li will take place 15^th – 23^rd October and will include Shanghai ( STEP Asia Singapore) and Hong Kong.

Objectives of the Visit

We will update key contacts on the latest developments in Jersey and will take the opportunity to communicate our G20 white list status, reinforcing the value and integrity of the Jersey proposition.

We will promote the expertise in Jersey’s Finance Industry and its relevance to the Chinese market. We will focus on capital structuring, the management of private wealth, with a particular emphasis on Foundations.

The application for Jersey companies to be listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange has been submitted and we are awaiting a final outcome. Establishing the capability for Jersey companies to be listed on HK Stock Exchange will present us with tremendous opportunity in Asia.  

We will further progress our presence in the region by officially launching our second overseas representative office in Hong Kong.

Member Role

The visit will provide the opportunity for Members to participate in some of the pre-arranged one to one meetings in each location, attend the official opening of the Jersey Finance Hong Kong Office and a number of larger internal presentations in major law forms. In addition to the Jersey Finance Programme we would strongly encourage Members to arrange their own business development meetings in each location.

Hong Kong Office

Zhaoan Li , our newly appointed Representative is now running the Greater China Jersey Finance office in Hong Kong.  Zhaoan is promoting Jersey as an International Financial Centre by communicating to key gatekeepers and other professionals in Hong Kong and Mainland China the jurisdictional, commercial and regulatory benefits of using the services Jersey offers. 

STEP Asia

Jersey Finance is once again a sponsor at the STEP Asia Conference which will coincide with the launch of our Hong Kong Office. This year the Conference takes place from the evening of Monday 19^th to Wednesday 21^st October in Singapore.  Please note that this is not a Jersey Finance hosted event and for those not in the private client world, it is more likely that you would go straight to Hong Kong for intermediary visits and not via Singapore.
