Jersey Finance India Visit
Mumbai and New Delhi
Monday 16th March - Friday 20th March
We are delighted to announce that the postponed integrated Mumbai and New Delhi visit took take place the week 16th – 20th March 2009 with John Harris, Director General of the Jersey Financial Services Commission joined the delegation.
OBJECTIVE OF THE VISIT
The objective of the visit was to showcase Jersey’s expertise in capital structuring for Indian business expansion into Europe, the use of Jersey’s funds regime for inward investment into India and private client wealth management, particularly the new Foundations offering, as well as progress talks on regulatory co-operation.
The programme for the week followed the format used for previous visits, individual intermediary meetings, small single firm presentations, larger Jersey Finance hosted presentations and possible networking drinks receptions in both locations. We also endeavoured to meet with as many of the organisations as possible in Mumbai that had agreed to meet with us previously.
