Jersey Finance Quarterly Breakfast Briefing

Our last Members Quarterly Breakfast Briefing was held on Wednesday, 16th September at the Pomme D'or Hotel. The purpose of the Quarterly Briefings is to up-date Members on the many recent activities of Jersey Finance and provide an outline of forthcoming projects and events.
Guest Speaker
We were delighted that Tom Walker, newly appointed Director of International Affairs for the States of Jersey agreed to present to Members an outline of his role. Tom is responsible for all aspects of interntaional affairs, including ongoing relations with the UK Government, the European Union, other key jurisdictions and multilateral organisations including the OECD. His role is to advance the economic interests of the island and to help build Jersey's international identity.
2010 planning
Last year we introduced ‘Quizdom’ at our September Briefing which allowed Members present the opportunity to provide us with their views on the activities Jersey Finance has undertaken to date and guide us in the activities to concentrate on going forward. During this Presentation a series of questions was asked and each member present responded using a hand held interactive voting system. This enabled us to gather as much data as possible to use when compiling our 2010 Marketing and Strategy Plan.
