Representatives from Jersey Finance Limited, the organisation responsible for promoting Jersey’s finance industry, the Government of Jersey, including Senator Philip Ozouf, Treasury Minister and the islands Financial Services Regulator together with professional advisors from the finance industry in Jersey visited Mumbai in November to meet with local practitioners.

During the three day visit, Jersey Finance’s Chief Executive, Mr Geoff Cook hosted a presentation followed by a drinks reception. The presentation was held at the Four Seasons Hotel on Tuesday 17th November entitled;

‘India and Jersey – the Opportunities’

The IMF has given Jersey’s finance industry a ringing endorsement for the quality of its regulation and legislation, the transparency of its regulatory processes and the robustness and resilience of its banking system.

The event provided an opportunity to meet and network with a diverse range of industry leaders and senior professionals in the world of finance from both Jersey and Mumbai whilst also providing a technical summary of Jersey’s expertise and its relevance to the Indian market together with an overview of the high standards of its regulatory regime.
