Trust in our Foundations - Jersey Tax and Legal Solutions

The Jersey Finance Presentation entitled ‘Trust in our Foundations – Jersey tax and legal solutions’ was held on Wednesday 15th July at The Caledonian Hilton Hotel, Edinburgh.

The event was hosted by Clive Boothman, London Representative, Jersey Finance and was a must for anyone involved in the provision of Private Client Wealth Management Services and Funds.  It was attended by locally based trust lawyers, accountants and other financial services professionals, offering the perfect opportunity to network with UK colleagues and key intermediaries.

A series of short presentations explained the Jersey Foundations law recently introduced as well as tax and other benefits of using Jersey. A panel session of private wealth professionals from Edinburgh and Jersey then discussed a wide range of issues and took questions from the floor including current international perceptions of Jersey, Privacy and the recently announced offshore disclosure facility.

  • The Jersey Foundation and migration of Foundations
  • The tax position on resident non-domiciles using Jersey
  • Other uses of Jersey vehicles including trusts and limited partnerships
  • The OECD White List
