The Treasury Minister has recently announced the details of a planned review of Jersey’s fiscal strategy. An extensive period of public consultation will begin early this year, and proposals for an updated fiscal strategy will be presented to the Council of Ministers and subsequently to the States for debate.
As part of this process we arranged a series of interactive discussion forums to update Members on the current position with regard to the 0/10 tax regime and the Island's response, strategy and overall position.
Senator Philip Ozouf, Treasury Minister and Wendy Martin, Director of Tax, States of Jersey updated Members on the Fiscal Strategy Review consultations on personal and business taxation and the Comprehensive Spending Review. There was also an opportunity to ask questions about the consultations and reviews.
