Market abuse, identity fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing and sanction breaches all continue to be top priorities for the regulator and those fighting financial crime in financial services.
This timely talk by Chief Officer, Mr Mike Bowron QPM of the States of Jersey Police is designed to give a sound understanding of financial crime in a challenging economic situation and particularly its new and emerging risks.
Mike Bowron QPM began his post as Chief Officer in January 2011. Before joining the States of Jersey Police, Mike served as Commissioner of the City of London Police for 5 years, and before that as Assistant Commissioner for 4 years. He launched the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau and is currently the chair of FIN-NET, the Association of Chief Police Officers national lead on business continuity and until recently the lead on economic crime.
