JFA educational training session - Presentation by Russell Newton - Global Advisors (Jersey) Ltd

This presentation will be hosted by Russell Newton from Global Advisors (Jersey) Ltd who will be providing some background on the basic fundamentals of commodity markets with examples covering aspects like the rise of China as a significant influence on those markets.
Russell has 25 years of commodity trading experience. He began his career at Shell trading crude oil. After stints at Phibro & RWE he then moved to JP Morgan where he became their Global Commodities Strategist.
In 1999, Russell co-founded Global Advisors along with his JP Morgan colleague Daniel Masters. Global Advisors utilises both discretionay and systematic investment approaches and trades only commodities. Russell is the portfolio manage for the firm's 'quant' program, Global Commodity Systematic ("GCS"). In 2009, Global Advisors relocated its business to Jersey.
The seminar will start promptly at 12.30pm and will last approximately1 hour, which will include questions. CPD certificates will be available at the event. Light refreshments will be available.
