Law Society trade mission to Shanghai and Nanjing

Please find below information about a visit organised by the Law Society. This event is available to Law Society Members only, however, if you wish to attend but are not a Member, it will be possible to attend under Jersey Finance’s Membership.
The Mission
This legal services trade mission will take place during a week of events sponsored by the UK Government at the Shanghai Expo 2010 to showcase its financial and legal services sectors and attracting key players from the UK and Chinese financial and legal services sectors. The visit will also incorporate a 1-day provisional programme to Nanjing, one of the largest economic bases in China.
Who Should Go
This Law Society visit has been designed for legal sector businesses who wish to explore new opportunities, and develop their contacts in both Shanghai and Nanjing. Participating in this mission will offer the opportunity to promote your firm directly to business partners and potential clients as well as building links with Chinese firms. The visit will incorporate a programme of meetings and networking opportunities as well as time for you to hold your own meetings.
Participants will be expected to cover their own travel and accommodation costs and pay a £500 mission fee + VAT. A discount of 20% applies to International Division members.
