This summer, thanks to the generosity of Rathbones, dozens of local disadvantaged children enjoyed an aMaizin! day out. Around 50 youngsters from Mont à l’Abbé and Bel Royal Schools took part in the Rotary Club of Jersey’s 20th KidsOut Day, a special trip to the aMaizin! Adventure Park in St Peter with their teachers and carers, all thanks to continued support from local investment management company Rathbones.

The children all enjoyed a fantastic day of activities including go-karting, toboggan rides, jumping up and down on the big bouncy pillow, face painting and a firm favourite, a ride around the park on the tractor.
They were joined on the outing by the Lieutenant Governor, Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton and Lady Dalton and Matthew Sutton of Rathbones Investment Management International, who were hosted by Geoff Shepherd, the President of the Rotary Club of Jersey.

Matthew was later presented by the Lieutenant Governor with a special award for the continued support Rathbones have provided to the Rotary Club over the last few years.
Commenting, Matthew Sutton said: “I was delighted to be part of this really special day out.

The Rotary Club and their KidsOut’s annual event has helped put a smile on thousands of disadvantaged children over the last twenty years, taking them all on an outing so they can just have fun and enjoy being kids. It was wonderful to see how Rathbones have played a part in enabling Jersey youngsters to do just that at the aMaizin! Adventure Park this summer.”

Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland together with KidsOut take over 25,000 disadvantaged children across the UK on a fun day out every year.
