As part of our Sustainable Finance Summit, Jersey Finance is delighted to be hosting an exclusive event for our CEO Connect Members on Monday 10 March.

There will be updates from Joe Moynihan, Chief Executive Officer at Jersey Finance, followed by a presentation from Mike Berners-Lee, ending with an interactive Q&A session with guests.

Mike Berners-Lee is an English researcher and writer on carbon footprinting. He is a professor and fellow of the Institute for Social Futures at Lancaster University and director and principal consultant of Small World Consulting, based in the Lancaster Environment Centre at the university. His books include How Bad are Bananas?, The Burning Question and There Is No Planet B and he is a contributing author to The Climate Book created by Greta Thunberg. He is considered an expert on carbon footprints.

Mike Berners-Lee will emphasise the importance of adopting a holistic approach to tackling climate change. He will argue that addressing climate issues in isolation is insufficient; instead, we must see the big picture by considering interconnected global challenges. Through this broader lens, he will provide insights into how systemic thinking can lead to more effective and sustainable solutions for the planet’s future.
