Faizal Bhana › Director – Middle East, Africa and India, Jersey Finance

Faizal is a UK qualified lawyer and for many years has worked and advised, and is a trusted advisor to institutions, corporates and families across the Middle East, Africa and India. Faizal specialises in banking and finance and has advised corporates, family offices and families including on their international investment and holding structures.
Faizal is responsible for developing the strategy for Jersey Finance’s engagement in Africa, the Middle East and India. He is focussed on his key markets, regularly travelling to all these countries, liaising and working with key stakeholders, including public and private institutions, corporates and families, building long-term mutually beneficial relationships.
Alastair Glover Partner, Trowers & Hamlins, Dubai
Alastair is a Private Wealth partner in Trowers & Hamlins’ Dubai office and has over 10 years' experience in advising high net worth individuals and families, family offices and trustees on global estate planning and tax efficient investment structures. Alastair has significant experience in international succession planning including offshore trust and foundation structures, tax advice, immigration and family governance. Alastair leads the Private Wealth practice in the Middle East and is ranked in Band 1 in Chambers Global in Private Wealth Law. He is described as "superb; efficient, very knowledgeable... extremely resourceful… succinct and very client-oriented". Alastair is also named as an expert for private clients in Who's Who Legal.
Nick Green Partner, Trowers & Hamlins, Dubai
Nick Green is a Dubai-based corporate partner and cross-border investment specialist. Over 6 years regional experience and previously a partner in the London corporate team focused on structuring UK and European Real Estate capital markets' deals from the Middle East, acting for family offices, institutional investors and high net worth individuals.
Shaikha Al Jalahma Solicitor, Trowers & Hamlins, Dubai
Shaikha is a Private Wealth Solicitor in England and Wales and a Lawyer in the Kingdom of Bahrain. She specialises in Private Wealth and is able to call on her experience of civil law (including Shari'a) and common law when advising clients. As a Private Wealth lawyer, Shaikha acts for a diverse range of High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth individuals and families with a specific focus on succession and tax planning for Middle Eastern clients. Brian Carey Director - Private Wealth, Intertrust, Jersey
Brian Carey joined Intertrust in October 2019 and is a trustee professional with 30 years’ experience in the international private wealth management sector. He has lived and worked in the Middle East for 16 years and has previously worked within a family office, an international bank and with multi-family office trust providers. Over these years, Brian has established himself as a trusted advisor with many of his clients and their intermediaries. He specialises in working with individuals, families and their advisors to provide them with bespoke Private Client services, which include cross Fiduciary Solutions, Family Governance and Family Office Services. Brian is a prominent member of the international Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and was the Founding Secretary of STEP Arabia. Now living in Jersey, he remains a frequent visitor to the Middle East.
Debbie Lumsden Director, VG (Jersey)
Debbie joined VG in 2020 as Private Client Director. She is tasked with building the private wealth structuring business as part of the company’s next phase of growth, working alongside the wealth structuring teams. With more than 20 years’ experience, Debbie has an impressive track record of analysing and developing new business opportunities combined with deep experience of managing client relationships as well as dealing with complex structures and transactions in a variety of jurisdictions for high net worth individuals and families. Debbie is passionate about building long standing relationships and understanding her clients’ needs so as to ensure they are met with optimal solutions for wealth structuring.
Warren Luyt Managing Director, Trident Trust, Dubai
Warren joined Trident Trust in 2006 to establish its presence in Dubai, having spent six years in Mauritius managing a specialised financial services business. Warren is a qualified solicitor, admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 1992. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws and Higher Diploma in Labour Law, STEP Advanced Certificate in Family Business Advising and is past Chairman of STEP Arabia.
