Brian is a partner in Trowers & Hamlins' Bahrain office and heads our corporate team in Bahrain as well as our international funds practice. He has nearly 20 years' experience working with clients from or investing in the GCC. He advises clients in respect of public and private company mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring and regulation (including corporate finance, company and group structuring, shareholders' and joint venture arrangements, constitutional documents and corporate governance) in addition to a broad range of commercial and contractual matters. Brian also advises a number of banks, private equity clients and sovereign wealth institutions in respect of Bahraini and offshore fund establishment in addition to international private equity investments and disposals. Brian also works on the structuring of joint ventures for some of the Middle East's landmark mixed use land developments as well as a number of regional tourism development projects.

Sara is the Senior Partner of the firm specialising in real estate projects. She has over 20 years' experience in the real estate sector and has established herself as a trusted adviser to a range of private providers, local authorities and central government developers, advising them on complex public and private projects. Specialising in development, regeneration, PPP projects, partnerships and joint ventures, Sara, is often called upon for her expertise in providing innovative structuring advice – helping her clients to navigate and deliver complex, and often high profile, real estate projects and regeneration schemes. Sara leads the mid-market tier 1 ranked real estate team at Trowers and is herself ranked as a notable practitioner within real estate and social housing (Chambers UK 2021).

Shaikh Bader has over 25 years’ experience across diverse fields including People Management, Communications, and Sustainability. Prior to working in Batelco, Shaikh Bader worked in Aluminum Bahrain (Alba), where he led the Human Resources and Communication functions. Since joining Batelco in 2010, Shaikh Bader has held several managerial and executive roles. In his current role as the General Manager of Communication and Sustainability, he is responsible for Batelco’s Corporate Communication, Corporate Social Responsibility, Market Communication, and Sustainability Functions. During 2020 and 2021, Shaikh Bader’s main focus was establishing the Sustainability function in the company and launch its solar energy program, which resulted in building Batelco’s first solar park in Askar. He holds a BA in Business Administration from New England College and Master of Science in Management from Boston University, USA.

Daniel joined Intertrust's UAE offices in February 2021 as Commercial Director and is responsible for the development of the Group’s presence and service offering in the UAE and wider GCC region, aimed at facilitating Governance, Risk and Compliance services for financially-regulated entities, fund administration services for SWFs, PE funds and VC funds as well as estate planning solutions for private clients and their families. Prior to joining the Intertrust Group, Daniel held senior management and Directorship positions at other service providers such as Vistra and the Sovereign Group. Daniel has had several articles featured in publications such as Sovereign Wealth Quarterly and has also made guest appearances on Dubai Business Breakfast on Dubai Eye FM / Dubai One TV. He has been a resident of the UAE from birth and has extensive professional and life experience in the Middle East.

Craig is a Regional Managing Director - MENA with the Apex Group. Craig has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry globally, having held senior management positions in fund management firms, investment banking and fund administration. He is keenly involved in the development of practices and the landscape of the financial services sector and his expertise and advice is often sought by major stakeholders in the sector. Prior to joining Apex, Craig was Senior Executive Officer with a multi-family office and responsible for developing the firm to manage fund structures based in a variety of jurisdictions and covering a full range of investment strategies and structures. Craig has held senior roles within investment banking and fund administration firms in the UAE, UK and Bermuda. Craig holds several other directorship roles in financial services companies and investment funds. He is also a member of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand.

Marwa Al-Maskati leads the Marketing and Business Development function of Bahrain Bourse where she is responsible for all new business opportunities and affairs. Since taking on this role in 2014, she has been instrumental in the implementation and establishment of new markets including the Real Estate Investment Trust Market (REIT) in 2016 and the Bahrain Investment Market (BIM) in 2017, played a crucial role in championing ESG within the capital markets, as well as the establishment and launch of the Middle East Investor Relations – Bahrain Chapter. Mrs. AlMaskati currently heads the Bahrain Chapter of MEIRA and sits on the Board of MEIRA as well, she is also an active member of the Arab Federation of Capital Markets - Sustainability Committee. Mrs. Al-Maskati has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry with a focus on areas such as strategy development, venture capital, private equity, and business development.
