Elliot re-joined Jersey Finance in November 2018 from Crestbridge where he managed their Management Company Services Group.
Elliot’s role is to help define Jersey’s product offering for funds as well as to oversee the strategy and execution of marketing Jersey as both a domicile and destination for Alternative Investment Managers and their funds.
Elliot moved to Jersey in 2006 to establish a Macro strategy Hedge Fund under the Ermitage umbrella for whom he also seeded other Macro / CTA strategy Hedge Funds.
Elliot founded the Jersey Hedge Fund Managers Group and the Digital Asset Managers Group aimed at linking the growing community of local Managers and is a committee member of the Jersey Funds Association, the BVCA Channel Islands working group and the islands Funds’ Innovation Committee.
Chris Patton Head of Fund Solutions, UK & Channel Islands, CSC Jersey
Chris has been with CSC since 2000 and is Head of Fund Solutions for the UK, Channel Islands and Spain. Before joining CSC, Chris worked in various leadership roles for two Jersey fund administrators, including as head of private equity for a number of years. He also worked in the Economic Development department of Government of Jersey. Chris started his professional career with Deloitte in 2002, where he worked both in Jersey and London. Chris is a UK Chartered Tax Advisor and holds an ICA International Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance; and an undergraduate degree in Applied Microbiology.
Dilmun Leach Group Partner, Walkers
Dilmun Leach is a member of Walkers' Jersey Investment Funds & Corporate practice group in Jersey, advising on a range of funds, corporate and regulatory matters. Dilmun is a founding member of the Jersey Digital Assets Working Group, supported the launch of Jersey's first "Real World Asset Tokenisation Platform", and took a leading role in developing the JFSC's Tokenisation Guidance Notes. His funds practice involves the establishment and restructuring of investment funds in a range of asset classes including private equity, real estate, infrastructure, CLOs/debt, and open-ended hedge funds. He advises on the establishment and licencing of fund managers and investment advisers in Jersey, and setting up various fund satellite vehicles including carry and co-investment vehicles, and alternative investment and securitisation vehicles.
James Kaufmann Partner, Hill Dickinson
James Kaufmann is an expert on all aspects of investment funds. With a focus on regulatory work, hedge funds, and retail funds, he adopts a holistic approach to advising clients. James works with investment funds and investment managers on every part of their business, including establishing managers and funds, fund/product formation, corporate and regulatory matters, and business life cycle events. James has experience working with a wide range of strategies and structures. A key aspect of James’ practice focuses on regulatory advice. Having served as a Chief Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering Officer (CF10 & 11) for FCA regulated firms for seven years, James has experience dealing with regulators and regulatory issues as both a practitioner and as an approved person. In addition, James has a thorough understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain related issues, particularly regarding their regulation.
Julie Keir Associate Director of Financial Services, Government of Jersey
Julie was appointed as Associate Director of Financial Services in April 2021, having previously worked for a number of years for a leading offshore law firm in Jersey and a global law firm in the UK. Julie was admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 2006. Julie has broad experience of the policy and legislative agenda relevant to the financial services sector with a particular focus on funds, fintech and consumer protections
Lucy Balicki Senior Sales - Business Development & Marketing, Laser Digital
Lucy is in a senior sales role at Laser Digital. Laser Digital is a full-service digital asset firm specializing in trading, asset management, solutions and early-stage investing. Nomura established Laser Digital to provide new value in digital assets to its clients, bridging traditional and crypto markets. Prior to Laser, Lucy was a Business Development Director at Copper, the digital asset custodian and infrastructure provider. Before focusing on digital assets, Lucy worked in traditional finance, specialising in fund regulatory compliance and infrastructure with roles at FundRock and Laven Partners.
Gianluca Di Meo Sales Director, Taurus
Gianluca Di Meo is the Sales Director for the UK and Nordic regions at Taurus – a Swiss digital assets infrastructure and financial services provider which enables its customers to manage the full digital asset lifecycle, from tokenization to custody, and beyond. He has been in the digital assets industry for the last 2.5 years, having previously worked at Copper, the digital asset custodian. Prior to that, he brings a decade’s-worth of sales and client management experience, having held various technology-focused roles across the wider financial services industry.
