The two Jersey Finance Funds Seminars will be held on Monday 5 October, in Geneva, and on Tuesday 6 October, in Zurich and will run from 8.30am – 10.30am.
Jersey Finance Deputy Chief Executive, Richard Corrigan, will provide an overview of the value of Jersey to Swiss based managers followed by the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) Acting Director of Policy and Strategy, Mike Jones, who will discuss the island’s regulatory environment.
Ben Dixon, General Counsel/Chief Compliance Officer from Systematica and Robert Milner, Partner at Carey Olsen will both provide presentations on the practicalities of using Jersey for Swiss based managers.
Ben will address the Geneva audience while Robert will speak at the Zurich event.
The events come off the back of Jersey’s strong performance in the funds sector with figures for the end of 2014 showing that the net asset value of regulated funds being administered in the jurisdiction had grown a fifth year-on-year to reach just over £228.9 billion – the highest figure in seven years – whilst the fund formation rate is at its highest level since 2008.
