As Africa changes according to recent megatrends, the economic and commercial landscape of the continent is being reshaped. With the fastest growing middle-class population in the world, Africa’s consumer spending power is increasing at a significant rate.

We do need to be realistic though; there are potholes on the road to success. It is no secret that Africa faces many challenges; three of which being trust, transparency and infrastructure. Doing business in Africa comes with its own set of unique challenges, which Jersey is well positioned to navigate.

With that in mind, Dr. Andrew S. Nevin, Partner and Chief Economist at PwC, Nigeria, will deliver a presentation, ‘Nigeria and Africa: Economic Update’, which will provide a comprehensive overview of the current and future African economic development position.

A panel session, entitled ‘Regulation, Reputation and the Road Ahead’, will also highlight Jersey’s evolving relationship with Africa and create some discussion around the risk factors associated with African business.

This event is essential for all members of the industry working with the African market, as well as those considering an expansion into new territories.
