With a career in financial services spanning four decades, Joe has a strong commitment to the future success of the industry in Jersey.
Joe commenced his professional life in the banking sector, rising to the position of CEO of Jersey and the Isle of Man for a major bank, which included responsibilities for trusts and investments. In recent years, he expanded his focus as Director of Financial Services within the Government of Jersey, where he worked closely with industry and regulator to ensure the island’s position as a leading international finance centre. Before joining Jersey Finance in February 2019, Joe was working to establish high-reputation regulatory frameworks and business models for IFCs in the Middle East and Africa. He is a board director of the World Alliance of International Finance Centers (WAIFC).
Tim Marshall Former Diplomatic Editor and Foreign Correspondent and Bestselling Author
Tim Marshall, the renowned former Diplomatic Editor for Sky News and author of 'Prisoners of Geography' and 'The Future of Geography: How Power and Politics in Space Will Change Our World.' During his 30 years in news reporting and presenting, Tim was involved in pivotal moments in world history reporting in the field from Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia during the Balkan wars in the 1990s and covering conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Syria. His expertise will provide a deep understanding of why nation-states exist, the nature of borders, and how physical, cultural and political characteristics define the world.
Claire Williams OBE Former Deputy Team Principal, Williams Formula 1 Team and Brand Ambassador, WAE Technologies
Claire Williams OBE, one of the most successful women in Formula 1 history, as our endnote speaker. Claire was one of only two women to head a Formula 1 racing team in the modern era, leading the Williams Formula 1 team to top-five finishes two years in a row. Today, she is a global Brand Ambassador for WAE Technologies, focussing on the decarbonisation of heavy transport through advanced, sustainable, green technologies. Claire's journey in a male-dominated industry and her current work in sustainability will offer invaluable insights into leadership, innovation, and the future of technology.

Amy is Deputy Chief Executive of Jersey Finance. Amy joined Jersey Finance in 2011, becoming Chief Operating Officer in January 2014 and assumed her current role in September 2017. Amy also retains an active position leading the Strategy and Research team which undertakes projects and initiatives to develop the financial services industry in the Island.
Amy was born and educated in Jersey and subsequently went on to study at Durham University where she graduated with an honours degree in Natural Sciences.
Previous to Jersey Finance, Amy worked for PwC in the Channel Islands where she specialised in the taxation of offshore funds and Jersey corporate vehicles and provided international structuring advice to a global client base. Whilst working within the tax team, Amy was admitted to the Chartered Institute of Taxation as a Chartered Tax Advisor. Amy initially qualified as a chartered accountant within PwC’s Assurance team working on the audits of a number of banks, financial institutions and public sector bodies.
Charlotte Hill Partner, Penningtons Manches Cooper LLP
Charlotte, a Partner at Penningtons Manches Cooper LLP, is an experienced commercial disputes lawyer. She advises on a broad range of cross-border disputes across a number of commercial and business sectors, including financial services, company disputes, corporate insolvency and civil fraud. She leads PMC’s digital asset team, having specialist expertise in emerging technologies, including cryptocurrency and blockchain disputes, and advising clients about the developments in AI. In 2023, Charlotte won the esteemed title of ‘Woman of the Year – FinTech/Crypto Innovation – UK’ at the Citywealth Powerwomen Awards, for the impact of her work in the sector. She was also named on Innovate Finance’s Women in FinTech Powerlist 2023 and was most recently listed in Citywealth’s Top 50 Fintech, TMT and AI Lawyers in 2024.
Dr Danica Damljanovic CEO and Founder, Sentient Machines
Dr Danica Damljanovic, founder of Sentient Machines. An entrepreneur, PhD research scientist, and computer engineer with decades of experience in AI and Natural Language Processing. She worked with the SRI team that developed Apple’s Siri, before setting up Sentient Machines to build an advanced conversation analytics platform that analyses both voice and words in order to identify critical events and behaviours in your customer interactions, to reduce compliance risk, transform team productivity and customer loyalty. As an internationally recognised scientist Danica has published more than 50 publications, and a book on text analytics, cited over 2000 times.

Josh Leigh leads the Schillings digital resilience practice. He is highly experienced in developing and executing proactive and reactive projects to improve and strengthen clients’ online reputations as reflected in search results, on social media and via AI. An expert in multi-territory digital resilience strategies, Josh has an industry-wide reputation for creative and scientific approaches – combined with communications skills – to digital profile challenges, using the latest techniques. Josh previously worked at communication consultancies Hawthorn, Digitalis, Edelman and Havas.
Peter Cunnane Director of International & National Initiatives, Innovate Finance
Peter is the Director of International & National Initiatives at Innovate Finance, the industry body representing the UK FinTech sector. Peter leads on developing Innovate Finance’s international and national initiatives, to support and promote UK FinTech, and the opportunities for our members to grow, by developing relationships with like-minded hubs across the UK and around the world. Peter also ensures our international and national work reflects current political, public policy and regulatory priorities for the sector, as well as our broader missions to promote the inclusivity of FinTech.

Bobby is a Managing Partner of MacroEagle, an investment firm, and publishes a widely read newsletter on markets and politics. Previously he was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Toscafund and a Partner at Goldman Sachs. Marianne is a Partner in Mishcon Private and a private client lawyer with more than 20 years’ experience advising families based mainly in the Middle East. She advises multinational families, their private offices and trustees on the range of legal and practical complexities and conflicts that arise when personal, business and trust assets are shared by more than one generation. She has practical experience of how banks and professional trustees operate: she worked as a professional trustee first within Lombard Odier private bank (in Bermuda, working also in Geneva and London) and then at Kleinwort Benson, in London.
