Faizal Bhana › Director – Middle East, Africa and India, Jersey Finance

Faizal is a UK qualified lawyer and for many years has worked and advised, and is a trusted advisor to institutions, corporates and families across the Middle East, Africa and India. Faizal specialises in banking and finance and has advised corporates, family offices and families including on their international investment and holding structures.

Faizal is responsible for developing the strategy for Jersey Finance’s engagement in Africa, the Middle East and India. He is focussed on his key markets, regularly travelling to all these countries, liaising and working with key stakeholders, including public and private institutions, corporates and families, building long-term mutually beneficial relationships.

Frank Mwiti

Frank Mwiti Partner, EY

Frank is the Eastern Africa Markets Leader at Ernst & Young (EY) where he leads Strategy, M&A and Business Development across Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan. He is the Managing Partner for EY-Parthenon in Eastern Africa (the firm’s dedicated global strategy consultancy with more than 7,000 strategy professionals globally); the EY Global Client Service Partner for several multinational clients in Africa and represents EY on various regional forums, industry and professional associations. He has 21+ years of professional experience (including 15yrs in London, UK) in investment banking and management consulting extending to UK, Africa, US, Europe and Russia. He advises Boards, Trustees, Investors, Shareholders, Entrepreneurs, CEOs and Government Executives on strategy, business development, governance and transformation. He has Executive Management qualification on Strategy from MIT (US), is a CPA and holds a Law degree.

Azim Omar

Azim Omar Partner, EY

Azim is EY Africa Private leader, and he has assisted many entrepreneurial companies in their growth journey. He is also an accredited Growth Navigator Guru and look after EY’s Family business offering across Africa. He is passionate about entrepreneurs and supports entrepreneurs through the EY Winning Woman program. Furthermore, he is responsible for EY’s World Entrepreneur Awards Southern Africa and hosts our winner at the EY World Entrepreneur of the year Awards. He also works closely with companies like Endeavour, YPO and other entrepreneur accelerators in driving entrepreneurship across the continent. Azim leads a number of EY’s key accounts, including Multichoice, Super Group, Bidvest and Witwatersrand University to name a few and fulfils the role of Senior Relationship Partner of various entrepreneurial and growth market accounts.

Atiq Anjarwalla

Atiq Anjarwalla Senior Partner, Anjarwalla & Khanna

Atiq Anjarwalla is a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales, an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a licensed legal consultant in Dubai, UAE. He is a Senior Partner with ALN Kenya, A&K, one of Kenya’s leading corporate law firms and the Senior Partner of ALN UAE, Anjarwalla Collins & Haidermota (AC&H), legal consultants in Dubai. Atiq has over 39 years of practice experience and focuses principally on family succession and estate planning for high-net-worth clients, mergers and acquisitions, general corporate advisory, and hospitality projects. He also handles tax planning and offshore structures for high-net-worth clients. Atiq has assisted many international investors setting up in Africa. Atiq is involved in advising clients in succession planning involving family assets in countries in Africa as well as in the GCC and Aisa which also includes tax advice working with tax advisors.

Paul Yates

Paul Yates Associate Director, Suntera Global

Paul started his career in 1990 with Mourant Du Feu & Jeane and worked with several well-respected private wealth companies before joining Suntera Global in 2018. He is ICSA Diploma qualified and is skilled in private client relationship management and administration of varied structures for high-net worth individuals and family offices for wealth preservation and succession planning. In his current role, he oversees the management of a team and client portfolio with a predominant focus of East Africa. His asset focus is predominantly commercial and residential investment properties, investment managed portfolios, oils and gas, and marine and aviation.

Mary Ngechu

Mary Ngechu Managing Director, Line Plast Group

Group Managing Director of Line Plast Group of Companies, a packaging company providing packaging solutions, serving a wide range of clients including food & beverage, cosmetics, Agro Vet & pharmaceuticals in East Africa. Mary is a thought leader for the SMEs in the Manufacturing Sector. Mary is a social entrepreneur who is passionate about skills development & decent jobs in the Kenyan manufacturing industry. She has been celebrated as UN in Kenya person of the year 2017 (runners-up), Ernst and Young East Africa Entrepreneur of the Year 2018 -Winning Woman (finalist) and Zuri Awards2019– Woman in Manufacturing. In April 2019, Mary received the Diversity and Inclusion Eminent Leaders Award. She is the Chairperson of Women in Manufacturing under the Kenya Association of Manufacturers and has served at the East African Business Council (EABC), as a Board Member. Mary also chairs the SME club at Kenya Private Sector Association (KEPSA).

Christopher Dungan

Christopher Dungan Regional Director - Middle East, Fiduchi

Christopher is an experienced professional with a demonstrated history of more than 10 years in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Fiduchi, he worked in banking – with a focus on Middle East private clients – based in Dubai and Jersey. He is a qualified investment professional. Christopher is responsible for growing Fiduchi’s Middle East business. Through his wide-ranging regional network, he services clients, both high net worth individuals and corporate institutions, offering them a range of bespoke fiduciary solutions. In order to further grow Fiduchi’s Middle East market penetration, Christopher re-located to Dubai in December 2018 as Regional Director of Fiduchi Limited (DMCC Branch). In what little spare time Christopher has - thanks to his two young sons - he enjoys tennis, reading spy novels, and is looking forward to improving his elementary Arabic.
