About ESG Business Integrity Risk and Sustainability Risk Management
There are a myriad of potential challenges and vulnerabilities that businesses face in maintaining ethical practices and compliance with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards. These risks can arise from issues such as:
- Fraud or Misrepresentation: Misleading stakeholders about ESG commitments or achievements.
- Regulatory Non-Compliance: Failing to meet legal and regulatory requirements related to ESG practices.
- Supply Chain Integrity: Violations of ESG principles within a company’s supply chain, such as human rights abuses or environmental harm.
- Financial Crimes: Activities like money laundering or bribery linked to ESG-related operations.
- Reputational Damage: Loss of trust among stakeholders due to perceived or actual ESG misconduct.
Effectively managing these risks involves implementing robust ethics and compliance programs, ensuring transparency and aligning business operations with evolving ESG expectations. A lack of effective management can impact an organisation’s operations, reputation, or financial performance

Prior to this, Alice was a Relationship Manager for small and medium-sized UK-based businesses through Brexit and the Covid-19 pandemic, and has also supported businesses in financial distress and financial difficulty.
