The 2011 Jersey Enterprise Awards have launched. Now in its 10th year, the nine categories are open to individuals and organisations across the Islands community.   The awards give recognition to the success and achievements of local businesses across all sectors including the finance sector.

Geoff Cook, CEO of Jersey Finance Limited, said. “I attended last year’s gala dinner and was struck by the exceptional talent that exists within our local industries. The Jersey Enterprise Awards are a platform from which local businesses and organisations can demonstrate not only outstanding performance but also excellent business practices.

Our local finance sector is at the forefront of innovation and diversification, training and development, CSR, and the green agenda. Our finance businesses compete on an international scale putting Jersey on the map as a place that is open for business.

I would encourage all finance companies to consider entering the 2011 Jersey Enterprise Awards”

Nigel Le Quesne, Group Managing Director of Jersey Trust Company, winner of Large Business of the Year award in 2009, said,

"To be recognised as award winners felt like a 'coming of age' for us and provided a strong platform for launching our new growth plans.   The experience gave us the opportunity to focus internally on the constituent parts of JTC and their inter-relationships.  Importantly, it also demonstrated how some workflows and procedures could be improved in the future for the overall benefit of the business."

The entry process is now live closing on 24 November 2011.
