Jersey based alternative asset fund administrator EFG Securities Services (“EFG”) is proud to announce the launch of Index Ventures’ new fund.

Geneva headquartered investment management firm Index Ventures SA has appointed EFG as Administrator to Index Ventures Growth II (“IVGII”), a Jersey domiciled Venture Capital Fund which has raised EUR 500m in commitments from investors and will be making late stage investments in technology and life science companies.

This landmark fund is the largest of its type to be raised in the past five years. It had its final closing in late summer and has since made two investments, including Dropbox, the innovative online storage provider. IVGII is a Jersey Expert Fund and is the latest in a successful series of Funds raised by Index Ventures. It is the fifth Index Ventures fund to which EFG has been appointed administrator.

Charlie Power, Chief Operations Officer of Index Ventures SA, commented:

“Index Ventures has a long and positive experience of working with EFG and we are delighted that they are supporting us on our latest fund. This is a significant new fund for us as we seek to build on our success in the technology and life-sciences sectors. EFG is a seasoned and capable fund administrator who knows how Index operate and we look forward to working with them again.”

Ian Henderson, Managing Director of EFG Securities Services, added:

“Index Ventures have a very strong track record and excellent reputation within the industry so to be retained by them for their new fund represents a very satisfying endorsement of the EFG team and our approach to client service.”
