Students from Mont à l’Abbé Secondary School will be making mince meat of Shaun Rankin on Wednesday 9th December as they have a mince pie cook-off at the school with the TV chef.
Shaun will be teaching the children how to make the festive treats and they will then bake over 100 to serve to their parents at their special Christmas assembly.
The initiative has been organised by the schools sponsors Voisin and Volaw and they have provided all the ingredients for the special lesson. Staff from Voisin and Volaw will also be helping on the day as the children get stuck into pastry rolling and pie filling!
Georgina Jeffries, Head of Marketing, Voisin and Volaw, says:
‘This activity is really going to get everyone in the festive mood! It’s such a delight spending time with the children at Mont à l’Abbé School and they get so much out of interactive lessons like this. We are very grateful to Shaun Rankin for giving up his time to do this, the children have seen him on television and in magazines and get very excited when he comes to see them.’
