From this week, MeesPierson Private Bank in Guernsey will be known as ABN AMRO (Guernsey) Limited following a rebranding exercise. Both entities are 100% owned by the Dutch government.
The combined operation means that ABN AMRO Private Bank in the Channel Islands can now offer a broader portfolio of services to its clients in both jurisdictions. Both companies have experienced strong growth in the past year despite challenging market conditions. The pan-island business now employs 192 staff with assets under management of £6.6bln.
Patrick Crowley, Country Executive of long-established ABN AMRO Bank Jersey says,
“The whole team in Jersey is delighted to welcome our Guernsey colleagues into the Group. We can now offer our clients a truly integrated, extended portfolio of services through our pan-island presence. We look forward to building on our ‘one-team’ approach through the introduction of new services across both jurisdictions for our respective local clients and intermediaries.”
Managing Director of ABN AMRO (Guernsey) Limited, Graham Thoume said: “The rebranding to ABN AMRO puts us in a strong position. Like MeesPierson, ABN AMRO is a respected global brand so we are confident that we will move seamlessly to our new identity with minimal disruption to our clients and contacts. The support of the combined group gives us an excellent platform in the Channel Islands especially as we now have links to Jersey, where ABN AMRO already has a strong presence. It will be business as usual in Guernsey and we will continue to provide our customary high levels of service to private banking, asset management and custody clients.”
