Law firm and trust company Appleby has donated over 50 computer monitors to Hautlieu School and First Tower, Bel Royal and Plat Douet primary schools.
Twenty monitors donated to Hautlieu will be used by a group of students studying for their CompTIA A+ certification – an industry standard qualification, which the students are currently studying as they completed their A Level ICT studies a year early. As part of their studies, the students are working on community IT projects at The Community Centre, St Thomas' Church, and at Little Oaks Nursery where the donated monitors will be installed.
Adam Jeffries – Head of Information Technology, Appleby, commented “We recently replaced our monitors at Appleby with energy efficient BENQ screens that automatically switch to eco-mode when users step away from their desks. I am really pleased that they have been put to good use and will go on to benefit the local community.”
Simon Worsey – Head of Marketing, Appleby added “We have been working with local primary schools on a number of projects for some time, including a reading programme, supporting swimming lessons and improving outdoor environments through tree planting and installing playground shades. It was an obvious choice to offer these monitors up to our local schools.”
Appleby has a limited number of monitors remaining. If you are a charity or school in need of computer monitors, please contact Simon Worsey, Head of Marketing – Channel Islands on Tel: 01534 818 360.
