An article, written by Jersey Finance’s CEO, has challenged the emotive argument around tax avoidance and evasion while highlighting the key contribution international finance centres (IFCs) can make to developing countries.

‘Fact, Fiction or just raw speculation’ was published by Oxford University Press’ Trusts & Trustees journal on 17 December.

Written by Jersey Finance CEO Geoff Cook, the article tackles the common arguments made by NGOs against IFCs and the data underlying that rhetoric. It also looks at the role IFCs can and should play in the economic development of developing countries.
