Lawyers from Carey Olsen have advised Asia Ceramics Holdings plc on its successful listing on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange (AIM) which completed on 6 September.
The company's business is the distribution of ceramic wall and floor tiles, sanitary-ware products and other home improvements products into the domestic market in China.
Partner Guy Coltman who was assisted in the deal by Associates David Allen and Kate McCaffrey provided Jersey legal advice on the transaction:
“Carey Olsen has seen a marked increase in activity related to business from China flowing through Jersey.
“It is exciting to be involved in the listing of a Chinese business with such potential”.
Mr Coltman said he hoped to see more Chinese businesses listing on AIM, and other markets, through Jersey incorporated companies.
“We are gaining a strong reputation for advising on these deals coming from China and we expect to see this trend continue,” he said.
Carey Olsen recently advised West China Cement Limited on its ground-breaking and successful global offering and listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEx). It was the first Chinese business, held through a Jersey company, to list on the HKEx, raising approximately HK$1,280 million.
