The Aztec Group has delivered its first five training courses to over 50 staff as part of its in-house Aztec Academy programme.
The Aztec Academy is key to the Group’s three pillars of learning; professional qualifications, soft skills training and industry specific learning. The Academy’s syllabus is designed to ensure the Group maintains its position as a leader in fund administration services by developing its staff’s specific industry knowledge.
The programme provides regular modular courses which cover topics tailored to Aztec’s core specialisation, private equity and real estate funds.
The Academy courses are run at three levels to support staff at various stages of their careers across the Group. More than 20 tailored training courses have been designed and cover the best content from courses run by external providers and industry bodies. These courses are delivered by a number of leading industry tutors.
Edward Moore, CEO and co-founder of the Aztec Group commented, “You can never underestimate the importance of a stable and knowledgeable workforce in the fund administration business. Our staff’s capabilities and understanding of our clients’ business is key to our strategy and the foundation of our first class service offering and is why we take developing our staff so seriously. We are very pleased with initial feedback from the Academy which provides a comprehensive framework to the personal development of our staff”.
The Aztec Academy covers much of the required Continued Professional Development (CPD) training for its employees with the added advantage of being tailored to Aztec. The Group has worked in close collaboration with One Study Training to ensure the Academy delivers a high standard of training and meets CPD requirements. Many of the syllabus modules are delivered by industry approved trainers, Big Four speakers, local law firms and specialists in regulatory updates.
Lesley Millar of specialist training firm One Study said, ”The Aztec Academy is an inspired idea to deliver structured and tailored industry training across the Aztec Group. One Study is very pleased to be working with such a forward thinking team at Aztec who take professional development to a higher level.”
The Group are working closely with leading industry trainers to roll out their next courses in the coming months.
