Barclays Wealth has scooped two major accolades at the annual Euromoney Private Banking Awards. The UK’s largest wealth management provider was named Best Overall Private Bank in Jersey and also won the award for Best Range of Investment Products in Jersey.
Richard Corrigan, director at Barclays Wealth, said that the Euromoney Private Banking Awards are a respected benchmark within the global wealth management industry.
‘We have made significant investment in our business in Jersey over recent years and to be recognised for our efforts in such a highly competitive market is a fantastic achievement. Being named Best Overall Private Bank in Jersey, together with our award for Best Range of Investment Products in Jersey, is a measure of how we continue to embrace change in our industry and stay close to client objectives and needs. Our bankers will continue to help private clients and trustees access the full capability of our organisation and to identify opportunities through what remains a challenging set of economic and market conditions’, said Mr Corrigan.
Barclays Wealth won six Euromoney Private Banking Awards in total including Best Overall Private Bank in the UK, for the second consecutive year.
Euromoney has also released its overall global rankings. For the first time since the survey was launched in 2004 Barclays Wealth has broken into the top 10 global private bank list, coming in at number 10.
The awards were voted for by more than 1,500 private banking professionals across the globe, with the results taken from the annual Private Banking Survey conducted by Euromoney.
The survey provides a qualitative and quantitative review of the best services in private banking, by region and by areas of services. It is used as an informative guide for high net-worth individuals on the range of professional wealth management service providers that are available.
The Euromoney Private Banking Awards recognise private banks that have performed best around the world in the past year.
The awards ceremony took place in London on Thursday 17 February.
