Brooks Macdonald, one of the largest independent investment managers in the Channel Islands, has won the award for ‘Best International Discretionary Fund Manager’ at the 17th International Fund and Product Awards.
Organised by International Investment, the Awards aim to honour and recognise groups who offer financial products and services internationally and who demonstrate best practice, who seek to raise standards and who put their clients first.
The Awards took place on 12th October at the Four Seasons Hotel in London, with Richard Hughes, Head of Business Development – International, collecting the award.
Commenting on the win, the judges described Brooks Macdonald as a “well-run, pro-active and forward thinking company”, with judges noting in particular the firm’s “good reputation”. Brooks Macdonald, which employs almost 100 people across its Jersey and Guernsey offices, was also named ‘Best International Wealth Management Provider’ at the same awards last year.
Commenting on this year’s Award win, Richard Hughes commented:
“To be recognised at these well-established awards for the second consecutive year and alongside some major brands in the global investment arena is a fantastic achievement, and a reflection of the calibre of our teams in Jersey and Guernsey.
“Winning this award shows that our business in the Channel Islands, which spearheads Brooks Macdonald’s international strategy, has earned strong recognition in the international professional adviser marketplace and gained real traction in key overseas markets. All this positions us very strongly in the discretionary investment management sector.”
