Jersey Finance has announced its plans to host a spectacular gala event in September to mark the 50th anniversary of the finance industry.

The ‘Golden Gala’ will bring together more than 500 members of the finance industry and the wider community in a unique fund raising evening set to generate thousands of pounds for local charities.
Money raised from the spectacular back tie event will be donated to the Association of Jersey Charities to distribute between a range of causes and initiatives that make a direct difference in supporting individuals and groups within the local community.
The Gala event is the focal point of a year-long programme of events to mark Jersey’s financial heritage which has involved numerous projects including a travelling photographic exhibition and the production of a coffee-table book paid for by the publishers.
Guests at the Gala event will be treated to a three course meal and first-class entertainment before and after dinner. Jersey Finance is delighted to announce that State Street will be the lead sponsor for the Gala.
The week following the Gala event, Jersey Finance will launch Financial Heritage Week which involves member firms participating in a week of fund raising initiatives to support the Association of Jersey Charities’ work. Proceeds from the Gala event, ticket sales and fund raising activity on the night will also be donated to the Association.

Businesses across the Island are also invited to donate luxury goods to be auctioned to raise money on the evening.
