The acquisition, subject to the relevant regulatory approvals, completed on 13 March and will see existing Sanne clients and staff, transferring to JTC.

The Collas Crill team involved Group Partner Dilmun Leach and Of Counsel Fiona Wilson. Both lawyers have significant experience advising on corporate mergers and acquisitions; Dilmun is recognised in the Chambers and Partners directory for being ‘commercial, pragmatic and focused on finding solutions’ while Fiona has practical experience from her time as in-house counsel.

Having previously advised on the acquisition by JTC of the Minerva Group, Collas Crill continues its representation of the group with the Sanne acquisition which is capped at £12 million in cash, upon completion of migration.

Fiona commented: ‘This was a complex deal which involved a number of considerations to ensure that the deal was structured in a way that was least disruptive to the clients and staff who will be transferring. It was a real pleasure to work with the JTC team whose professional and experienced approach to acquisitions is sure to cement its continued growth strategy going forward.’

Ian Johns, Group Head of Private Client Services at JTC, said: ‘JTC has a strong reputation for client service excellence, innovation and consistent growth. We also expect the same dependable service from those we choose to do business with; this is always the case with Collas Crill who work extremely hard for their clients and always provide the desired outcome.’
