Collas Crill Jersey has appointed a new Of Counsel to its award winning International Private Client and Trusts team (IPCT).

Laura Perkins, née Hair, joined the team in September 2019, having spent the previous two years practising offshore law with a leading firm in the BVI.

Prior to this, she spent nine years in Edinburgh working on tax and succession planning, trusts and probate, after completing her training in the city.

Experienced in both contentious and non-contentious matters, Laura is able to advise on all aspects of trust law, including the creation, administration, termination and restructuring of trust structures.

She specialises in wealth planning for high and ultra high net worth clients, in particular the use of trusts for succession planning, wealth preservation and asset protection purposes.

Head of Collas Crill’s IPCT Jersey team, Kellyann Ozouf said: ‘I’m thrilled to be welcoming Laura to the team.’

‘Her breadth of knowledge and experience will enable us to further progress what is already a thriving area of business for us at Collas Crill, and build upon our BVI and private client and trusts offering.’

Laura added: ‘I’ve received a really warm welcome to Collas Crill and am really looking forward to establishing myself within Jersey, working alongside Kellyann and the team.’
