Jersey Finance’s Middle East Regional Hub office in Dubai hosted a breakfast roundtable event on 15 March for members of the Dubai international advisory community and representatives from a Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC) trade delegation, led by Abdul Quadir Hamza, Director of Business Development and Riyan Sherif, Business Development Manager.

The high-profile audience heard presentations from Joe Moynihan, Jersey Finance Chief Executive, and Faizal Bhana, Director – Middle East, Africa and India. Our talks highlighted how our Middle East Regional Hub office in Dubai drives our GCC, India and Africa strategy for the East and West Africa regions – a strategy that benefits from the UAE’s geographical position as a gateway to and from Africa, India and the wider GCC. Another key point made at the event was Jersey’s desire to support and expand its relationships with both Commonwealth partners and the GCC.

Faizal Bhana also chaired a roundtable discussion titled ‘Commonwealth – UAE Partnership’ organised by CWEIC in Dubai, with esteemed speakers and participants from a spectrum of Commonwealth countries.

Jersey is a proud and active member of the Commonwealth family, particularly in the work we do in Africa and India. We look forward to continuing the discussions with CWEIC, culminating at CHOGM22 in June in Kigali, Rwanda.
