In a thrilling start to the year, the Citywealth 2021 International Financial Centre Award judges have announced that Standard Bank Jersey is in the running for Private Bank of the year, while its boutique asset manager Melville Douglas has been shortlisted in the category for Investment Management Company of the Year – Channel Islands & Isle of Man.

The 10th instalment of this prestigious awards scheme recognises advisers and managers in the private wealth sector across the major international financial centres. Standard Bank Jersey has featured prominently in the Awards’ Private Bank category as far back as 2015, finishing runner-up in 2017.

“We are delighted to have been named once again as a team that delivers personal service and investment performance worthy of recognition,” says Chris Stead, Head of Portfolio Management at Melville Douglas, Jersey. “Our consistent performance in this regard delivered over many years is testament to the dedication, professionalism and skill-sets of every single team member.”

“We operate in a highly competitive industry and to be shortlisted in these key categories speaks to our proven investment philosophy and “It’s Personal” client service values.”

In addition, Chris Stead has been shortlisted for Investment Manager of the Year – Channel Islands & Isle of Man. “Even though I’ve been nominated for an individual award, this would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our entire team. So, it’s only proper that I acknowledge their valued contributions and look forward to another successful year of the team helping clients in meeting their financial goals through a trusted advisor approach.”

In keeping with COVID protocols, the 2021 Citywire IFC Awards gala will be a virtual event that will be live-streamed on 23 February 2021.
