Helen Gale, Andy Isham and Martin Rowley have taken on new leadership roles following the retirement of Greg Branch.

Greg Branch, who has been the Senior Partner for Deloitte Jersey since 2013 and previously led the Channel Islands practice, will be retiring from the firm this August. "I am extremely proud of what has been achieved by Deloitte over the last 17 years and I am confident that our new leadership team will continue to build on this success," said Mr Branch.

Deloitte’s leadership team in Jersey was strengthened last year with the arrival of Martin Rowley, Tax Partner, and Theo Brennand, Audit Director, both from Deloitte’s London office.

Helen Gale will lead the Jersey audit practice, Martin Rowley will lead the Jersey tax practice and Andy Isham will lead the Jersey advisory practice. Also in the audit leadership team are three directors with audit signing responsibility, Siobhan Durcan, Marc Cleeve and Theo Brennand.

Mrs Gale joined the Jersey office after working in Deloitte's Paris and London offices. She draws on over 20 years specialising in the provision of audit and advisory services to the investment management industry and will continue to focus on private equity and the broader alternative investment asset classes.

As well as her new role as the Head of Jersey Audit Practice, she will continue to lead Deloitte’s Private Equity sector group. She has a passion for people and strengthening the accounting profession and is also committed to embracing innovation to drive the firm’s progress.

‘Creating a culture of opportunity and growth is as critical to our long-term success as our focus on client leadership and quality,’ said Mrs Gale. ‘I am proud to be part of such a strong, young, dynamic leadership team and I am very much looking forward to leading our highly qualified and skilled team of staff over the coming years as we continue to deliver excellent service to our clients'.

Theo Brennand, who joins the audit leadership team, is focused on the private equity and asset servicing sectors and he manages a portfolio of audit clients. Mr Brennand’s role also encompasses controls advisory, which is increasingly valued by the asset servicing industry as clients and their advisers are more commonly seeking independent assurance on structure, systems and governance.

Martin Rowley has 25 years of international tax experience – 20 of them in legal practice. He regularly acts for private equity houses, real estate funds and sovereign financial institutions in the structuring and execution of their investments, joint ventures and other M&A activities, as well as assisting fund managers in the structuring of their portfolio investments, financings and divestments.

Andrew Isham has over 20 years’ experience providing services to offshore regulated financial services clients, including investment management businesses, fund managers and fund administrators. He acts as joint liquidator to solvent and insolvent structures including both Jersey-based entities and those in other offshore jurisdictions with multi-jurisdictional operations and asset locations, which need to deal with regulators both in the island and overseas.

John Clacy, who was promoted to Head of Deloitte’s Channel Islands practice last year, said: "I’d like to thank Greg for his leadership and immense contribution over the past 25 years.

"He leaves Deloitte in great shape. Our audit, tax and advisory practices are continually strengthening in terms of depth and breadth of expertise and our place as part of Deloitte’s UK practice gives our clients access to first-class services."
