Equiom Solutions Limited, part of the international Equiom Group, will hold two breakfast briefings on tax and estate planning for Jersey and Guernsey residents.
The briefings, entitled ‘The UK Summer Budget – Implications for Jersey/Guernsey residents’, are directed at local individuals, their advisers and relevant intermediaries. The Jersey briefing will be held at the Royal Yacht Hotel, St Helier, on Tuesday 23 February from 8.30am-10.30am. The Guernsey briefing will take place at the Old Government House, Ann’s Place, on Wednesday 24 February from 8am-10am.
The agenda for both briefings will include an overview of estate planning considerations for local residents with UK connections, addressing the issues of residence and domicile and changes to inheritance tax planning. It will also evaluate the tax considerations for residents with an interest in UK property, present and future.
The speaker line-up will include two key members of the Equiom Solutions team; Managing Director Helen Woods and Tax Director Kevin Renshaw.
Helen commented: ‘The first budget following the election of the Conservative Government in May last year introduced some important tax measures that could have a significant impact on individuals in the Channel Islands who have connections to the UK. The proposals have caused much concern and confusion in recent months. The purpose of the briefings is to educate local residents, their advisers and intermediaries on what exactly the changes mean to them and where they should seek further advice before the changes come into effect.
Equiom Solutions provides tax and estate planning services to individuals and businesses. The highly qualified and experienced team offers tax mitigation and estate planning advice and help with annual tax obligations, as well as outsourced tax compliance services for fiduciaries.
