Event Series Marks One Year On from Sustainable Finance Strategy Launch

At this event, we are delighted to welcome James Alexander, Chief Executive Officer at the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association (UKSIF), as our keynote speaker. We will also hear insightful updates from a range of speakers including Amy Bryant, our Deputy Chief Executive Officer; Andrew Mitchell, Founder and CEO of Equilibrium Futures; and some of our key partners on our strategy, vision and two-year plan, our progress and achievements, and our future intentions. Join us to learn more about the global context and the role of finance, as the international community accelerates their transition to meet commitments on sustainability.

In partnership with STEP Jersey and JATCo, we are delighted to be hosting a CPD-accredited seminar aimed at industry professionals in the private wealth sector, providing both global and local perspectives from leading practitioners. Sharing best practices and finding solutions to common issues, speakers will focus on the alignment between fiduciary duties within Jersey private wealth structures and sustainable investing. We will hear insights on sustainable investment strategies, integration of ESG into fiduciary businesses, as well as the potentially disruptive effect of developments in reporting standards.

At this special event for members of our Future Connect programme, designed for future finance professionals, we will be considering sustainability values in both our personal lives, in the workplace, and a force for personal and professional empowerment. Hear from our expert speaker, Sheena Brockie - Sustainability Consultant, Co-Founder of Plastic Free Jersey and the Founder of The Good Jersey Life, a local interest blog with a focus on eco-friendly living.

New for 2022! Building on the success of Jersey Finance’s popular Fintech Demo Days, this year will see the first demo session aimed at showcasing Jersey-based innovation in the sustainable finance and corporate sustainability space. Featuring exciting new tech-driven solutions like Uniti, this event will give our Members the opportunity to hear from ESG innovators as they demonstrate their services or products, helping to support a thriving local sustainability ecosystem.

At our second Sustainable Finance Community of Interest (CofI) meeting of 2022, David Postlethwaite, our sustainable finance lead, will focus on specific activities being undertaken to enhance Jersey’s enabling environment for sustainable finance. There will be an opportunity for discussion and sharing of ideas to support policy development, as well as a deeper dive into current trends in sustainable finance affecting Jersey.
