Four members of staff from Bracken Rothwell and Fairway Group are celebrating their recent success after passing papers and qualifying from their professional studies.
Amanda Gray has passed her final Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) paper ‘P6 Advanced Tax’ and has now completed the ACCA professional qualification. Now a senior accountant at Bracken Rothwell, Amanda predominately deals with private equity, property funds and the auditing, accounting and preparation of financial statements for both local clients and government quangos. ACCA is the global body for professional accountants and currently has 170,000 members and 436,000 students in 180 countries. The qualification encourages the adoption of global standards ensuring its members are regulated for the work they carry out. A

In addition, staff from Fairway Group, the connected regulated fiduciary services business, have completed and passed papers from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries Administrators (ICSA) and Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Diploma. Sara Pereira, a trust officer in the private client department has passed papers in ‘Portfolio Management and Financial Reporting and Governance’ exams, and has now finished her ICSA Diploma studies. Meanwhile, senior trust officer, Emma Furzer has passed her ICSA Diploma paper in ‘Portfolio Management’.
The ICSA qualification is recognised by the Jersey Financial Services Commission and all the major employers, and is a professional graduate training scheme which covers such diverse areas as corporate governance, law, finance, administration, company secretary and management. ICSA upholds the highest standards of quality and professional conduct.
Finally, trust officer, Chris Mourant, has passed his STEP Diploma paper in ‘Company Law and Creation’ with a distinction.
