EY in the Channel Islands has announced the promotion of Jon Atkey-Smith to Associate Partner.

Jon has over 15 years’ experience working for professional services firms within the Channel Islands. Prior to joining EY in 2010, Jon achieved a first-class honours degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University and became a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant in 2007.

During his time at EY, Jon has gained significant experience within the financial services industry, predominantly focusing on providing audit services to alternative investment structures throughout their life cycle, including real estate and private equity funds. Jon is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder, allowing him to provide exceptional insight into the asset management industry, including investment valuations.

Aside from his technical role, Jon is passionate about developing and nurturing talent within the firm as EY’s Talent leader in Jersey. As well as supporting the career development of those within the firm, Jon has also supported the Jersey Employment Trust with initiatives to offer people within the local community support in preparing for the world of work, by providing them with interview skills workshops and career guidance.
