The Jersey branch of the Chartered Institute of Professional Development (CIPD) has awarded Fairway Group the prize for Best Health and Well-being Strategy at its award ceremony.

The award was collected by Matt Ebbrell, Fairway Group’s Director of HR, and Jodie O’Brien, HR Manager, as well as members of the Colleagues’ Council who were instrumental in pushing through suggestions from across the business.

They were joined on stage at the Royal Yacht Hotel by other team members who had been particularly active and supportive of the programme which included sporting events, mental health training, nutrition and the ever-popular Woof Wednesday where canine companions are welcomed into the office.

This is the first year that Fairway Group has won the award and follows sustained investment of time and resources into the strategy to create a supportive health and wellbeing environment for all colleagues while increasing engagement and collaboration across teams. This was formally introduced as Fairway Life towards the end of 2018.

Matt Ebbrell said, “We are delighted to win the award, and it is amazing to get recognition for the work we do relating to employee health and wellbeing.  It is testament to the hard work of our Colleagues Council, in addition to some other key members of our team and I look forward to the next evolutionary stage of our health and wellbeing strategy”.
