Hawksford in Jersey has made four senior director promotions that will enable the company to increase the scale of its operations and commitment to exceptional client service.

Within the private client team, Sarah Locker has been appointed as associate director while Wendy Inns and Vicky Mills have been promoted to director. Cordelia Miller, responsible for Hawksford’s legal and company secretariat function, has been appointed director.

Michel van Leeuwen, CEO of Hawksford, said: ‘Hawksford has had a very active year and expanded its staff and client base globally. In line with that expansion and our desire to increase the pace even further, we wanted to reward key contributors and expand the management structure to support our plans for 2018.’

Sarah has a law degree and masters in commercial property law. She has gained considerable experience representing a wide range of clients with varying trust and company administration requirements since working for Jersey-based legal practice Nigel Harris and Partners and subsequently Hawksford.

With over 20 years’ experience at a senior management level, Wendy has vast knowledge and experience in the incorporation and on-going administration of the full range of structures for private clients. Wendy is developing Hawksford’s response to the ever-changing regulatory and reporting environment for the benefit of our clients.  She was recognised as a CityWealth Powerwoman in 2016 and 2017.

Vicky joined Hawksford in 2017 and has over 20 years’ experience in the trust industry. She has responsibility for an international client base of ultra high net worth clients, and works closely with advisory networks, particularly in the UK, Jersey and Singapore to develop new client relationships. Vicky has had particular success in expanding Hawksford’s client base with a number of exceptional client wins since joining.

Cordelia, a solicitor of England and Wales, qualified as a finance lawyer in 1999 and has extensive experience advising on internal and external client structures. She joined Hawksford as head of legal in 2015.

Darren Kelland, global head of private client at Hawksford, said: ‘Wendy, Vicky and Sarah have demonstrated the ability to deliver the highest levels of integrity in their ability to manage their teams while ensuring the highest levels of service to their clients.

The role of the modern trustee is ever evolving, with the need to accurately collate information, report it and to comply with the legislative requirements of the finance industry.  We have an incredibly dedicated client team and Wendy, Vicky and Sarah epitomise the personalities required to deliver the role of a modern trustee while managing and nurturing talented people.’

Michel van Leeuwen added, ‘Cordelia is a very talented lawyer with a depth of legal experience in both an advisory and in-house capacity. She has built a skilled legal function for Hawksford’s global operations and has provided stellar legal support throughout Hawksford’s M&A activity and securing our regulatory licence in Singapore.

‘These promotions allow us to scale up and continue to deliver industry benchmark levels of client service to ever more clients and jurisdictions.’
