Holly and Nicola both achieved the highest mark in the Law of Contract paper in their Jersey Law exams and were recognised with a prize from the Law Society of Jersey.

Ellie, an Associate in the Jersey Funds practice, joined Mourant in 2017 as Paralegal and became a Trainee in 2019 when she began studying the Jersey Law exams. Ellie completed her LLB at the University of Exeter.

Samuel is a Senior Associate in the Finance and Corporate team in Jersey. Samuel joined Mourant in 2016 as an Associate in the firm’s BVI office. He moved to Jersey in 2018 and was promoted to Senior Associate in May 2019. Samuel read law at the University of Durham, before completing the Legal Practice Course at the University of Sheffield. He obtained a distinction in his Master’s degree (Commercial Law LLM) from the University of Northumbria while completing his training contract.

Mourant Jersey Managing Partner Daniel Birtwistle said: “Congratulations to Nicola, Holly, Ellie and Sam for successfully passing their Jersey Law exams. This is the culmination of a great deal of hard work and dedication to their studies by all four lawyers.
