Two years have passed since the written output from the Future-Fit-Workforce workstream was shared with the industry in 2022, since then we have done a lot of work to ensure we have addressed the areas identified by you, our Members.
Background to Future-Fit-Workforce
Jersey Finance established the Future-Fit-Workforce workstream to understand and address skills related issues and to ensure that people remain one of our most valuable differentiators as an industry.
We wanted to build on best practice and the existing work in this space from across the sector which is why our initial work focussed on a skills and education landscape mapping exercise. Through desktop research and stakeholder engagement, we aimed to identify and document key reports on skills-related topics, working groups, existing schemes and initiatives as well as any ongoing or planned project work in this area taking place in Jersey.
How Jersey Finance Have Implemented These Recommendations
The recommended actions have been woven into the ongoing work undertaken by Jersey Finance and informing our new initiatives
Since 2022, we have engaged with over 150 various stakeholders to discuss the outcomes of this work and how we can work together to deliver on the recommendations. This included members of the finance industry, relevant trade associations, the Government, the Regulator and other key stakeholders including Digital Jersey, Skills Jersey and the recruitment agencies.
We felt it was important to report on the achievements accomplished across the period and now invite you to read our Future-Fit-Workforce update.
