GCC Roadshow in Dubai Will Reveal the Driving Forces Behind High Net Worth Investors

A white paper, covering the driving forces and key trends behind the activity of High Net Worth Investors, will be unveiled at Jersey Finance’s Annual GCC Roadshow in Dubai this May.

The lunch-time event, entitled ‘New Perspectives’, will attract a range of world-class industry professionals to the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel on 3 May, to discuss the key issues currently shaping the global market and growth of the GCC market.

Experts will explore high-level topics such as Islamic finance, multi-generational and multi-jurisdictional family offices, real estate and the ever-evolving needs of GCC Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWIs). To further enhance the value of this event, a joint white paper by Jersey Finance and Hubbis, “Driving Forces Behind HNW Investors”, will be launched. The paper, which has researched the issues and thought-processes behind the internationalisation of GCC’s UHNWIs investments, will assist delegates attending in gaining a better insight into the activity of their clients and thus better help them serve the industry based on current trends and future predictions.

The keynote speaker at the event will be Abdul-Haq Mohammed, International Managing Partner, Trowers and Hamlins. Abdul-Haq specialises in all aspects of development work and advises investors on major property projects in the region. He has particular expertise in leading large teams on complex projects and transactions, including the development of airports, transport networks and social housing.

There will also be a range of expert panelists from both Jersey and Middle Eastern firms, namely Peter Unwin of First Names Group, Ismael Hajjar of EY Middle East, Michael Giraud of Salamanca Group, Michael Evans of Ogier, and Jersey Finance’s Richard Nunn as moderator.

In addition to this year’s Dubai event, there will also be a networking reception at The Chairman's Club, Kuwait City, on Monday 1 May.

Geoff Cook, Chief Executive Officer, Jersey Finance commented:

“The annual Jersey Finance GCC events are a valuable opportunity for delegates in the region to gather and share important insights on current trends. This year’s white paper launch will be welcomed, I am sure, by various industry stakeholders and will provide them with a deeper understanding of why UNHWIs are focusing their investments in certain areas.

We have been hosting roadshows in the GCC for the last three years as a means of strengthening our relationship with finance and legal practitioners in the location and the research we have produced this year will, I hope, enhance understanding of investment patterns in a region which has such influence on the global economy.”
