The office opening took place on 31st October with esteemed guests from the South African national rugby team, The Springboks. Star players Siya Kolisi, Eben Etzebeth, and Cheslin Kolbe, achieved remarkable success in the 2023 Rugby World Cup, bringing home the trophy for their country, which built on their success of winning it in 2019.
Staff and external guests were invited to come meet the rugby legends and celebrate Grant Thornton’s newly refurbished office, designed to enhance employee collaboration and well-being.
The renovated office spans three floors and incorporates open-concept designs, ergonomic workstations, and advanced technology, reflecting Grant Thornton’s commitment to creating an inspiring workplace, as well as investing in its future growth.
“We’re pleased to celebrate with members of The Springboks,” said Adam Budworth, Managing Partner of Grant Thornton. “Their presence reinforces our values of teamwork, resilience, and excellence.”
Lisa Guy, Tax Partner at Grant Thornton who led the office refurbishment project, added, “This refurbishment is not just a transformation of our workspace; it reflects our dedication to employee well-being.”
The event included a meet-and-greet and a short Q&A session, allowing employees and external contacts to engage with the athletes and draw inspiration from their achievements on the world stage.
With over 300 employees across the Channel Islands, the Jersey office now features cutting-edge video conferencing technology and versatile meeting and workspaces to enable employees to provide the best service possible to Grant Thornton’s clients.
